On my previous, now deleted video, I posted a video of my 918 still showing the interior cutoff behind the driver's eye in its interior POV and roasted the devs mercilessly for not fixing this. In doing so I foolishly did not notice that I actually had the XYZ seat position adjustment option that they provided for the 2.12.1. that could have solved the issue. I apologise for saying not so logical nonsense in the moment of rage.
Now this might be purely coincidental to my frustrated rant directed at the devs not through the proper vent channel that is the customer service email, but in the latest 2.12.12 quick update, you now seem to have the full interior "restored", although with consequences: Now I am sitting inside the seat or the rollcage in some cars, and the view is blocked.
I have painstakingly tested every single cars with interior POVs. Yes. Every single one of them. Maybe one or two outliers at most.
Cars whose default interior views are affected by this are as follows:
918 Spyder
Eunos Roadster
Mazda RX-7 Type RS
Mazda RX-7 Type RS Race Spec
Tom's Supra
86 Race Spec V1, V2, Rocket Bunny V3.5 Aero
Nismo R390 GT1 Race Car.
And no, the interior XYZ and FOV still resets when you quit the game, so you have to either memorise the setups yourselves or setup your FOV cam all over again when you play...
Right.
I suppose it is difficult to somehow get the right FOV without having to expose the interior cutoff or having to look at the A pillar when you do the left turn, like many other cars did, I don't know, like R35 GTR and etc. etc.
Or if people are complaining about the sense of speed because the camera is too close to the windscreen, so you decide that you have to place the camera inside the seat of the model, you can instead do what real cars do: move the seat or just make the seat disappear only when you are in interior POV.
I mean, when I checked the 918 and the only thing I saw was the pitch black void inside the seat, I just had a good laugh because it was so ridiculous. A default FOV on a prestigious hypercar. You see nothing. That's the solution.
And I haven't even checked the replay part yet to see what it looks like. My goodness. One might think this was a practical joke that the devs are playing on the players. Most likely not, but who knows. They might have some idea what they are doing.
Again, despite having XYZ solution, the setups are not saved when you quit the game. They are saved for individual cars which is fabulous, but they could have gone extra mile by stretching the capability of their cloud drive.
That's it. Sorry for me being a general idiot and this video not being a Subaru 22B drift rallying on Blue Mountain Touge for my 555 subs special.
