Ukraine’s armed forced conducted military drills on Friday (February 3) in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, next to the border with Belarus.

Drills involved Soviet-era self-propelled howitzers called 2S3 Akatsiya and were aimed at increasing troops readiness in case of another Russian assault from the territory of Belarus.

As snow fell, servicemen fire howitzers and rifles in the 30-km exclusion zone around defunct nuclear power plant.
