Captive Ukrainian Army serviceman Dmitry Dyadchuk

Ukrainian serviceman Dmitry Dyadchuk, who was taken prisoner by Russian units during the liberation of Avdeevka, said that he had to hide in a destroyed house and stay there for more than a week to avoid being shot by his own men.

He was "captured gently" - he simply surrendered, was not beaten, was tied up and searched. A medic treated his bullet wound and told him that "everything would be fine".
