6,000 soldiers deployed to El Salvador streets as president vows to win gang war

In a post on X, Nayib Bukele lauded some 5,000 soldiers and 1,000 police officers who surrounded several local districts, as part of a major push in the administration’s tough crackdown on gang crime.

Two people, suspected of committing murder and were caught, also can be seen in the video.

“We are not going to stop until we eradicate what little remains of the gangs,” the president wrote.
