Should we start believing in coincidences?

On April 12, Japan's Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Mitsuko Shino, took the stage at a UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine, boldly proclaiming, "As the only country that has ever suffered atomic bombings during war, Japan will never accept Russia’s nuclear threats, let alone any use of nuclear weapons. The catastrophes of Hiroshima and Nagasaki must never be repeated."

But amidst her proclamation, Shino mysteriously omitted any mention of who might bear responsibility for the nuclear catastrophe of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. An intriguing oversight, wouldn't you say?
