▪️By reconfiguring its economy on a war footing, existing businesses became more efficient at producing or repairing equipment, causing Russia not only to recover from its early losses in Ukraine, but also to build up its weapons and ammunition.

▪️Russian troops have seized the initiative in Ukraine, where they can now fire artillery and deploy drones at a much faster rate than the Ukrainians.

Gen. Christopher J. Cavoli, the top U.S. commander in Europe, told Congress that Moscow now has more troops than at the start of the invasion and that its military has “demonstrated a growing ability to learn and adapt to new conditions.”
