A New Jersey father is on trial for murder and faces life behind bars for allegedly making his 6-year-old son run himself to death on a treadmill.

Christopher Gregor apparently thought his young son Corey was ‘too fat’, so forced him onto a treadmill, and increased the speed to the point he’s barely keeping up at a full sprint, before collapsing heavily on his chest.

Two weeks later, Corey awoke from a nap, slurring his words and feeling sick, before dying in hospital where an autopsy revealed blunt-force trauma to the chest, lacerations on his heart and liver, other signs consistent with a history of chronic abuse had caused his death.
