Mike Johnson, the Republican speaker of the House of Representatives, spoke in favour of officially allowing Ukraine to strike pre-SMO Russian territory with American supplied weapons.

"I think Ukraine should be allowed to fight the war the way they see fit. They should be able to fight back. And I think we're trying to micromanage efforts, that's not good policy for us," he said in response to questions from Voice of America.

This puts him in a more pro-Ukraine position than even Biden himself, who believes Ukraine should only use foreign supplied weapons for defense and attacking territories that used to be Ukraine before 2014.
