Russian fighters over Crimea test new long-range air-to-air missiles ahead of the F-16 appearing in the skies of Ukraine
Enemy analysts spotted in the video a Su-30SM2 naval aviation unit of the Black Sea Fleet, armed with two R-37M and two R-77-1 missiles. This is the first public appearance of a fighter of this modification with the R-37M.
Previously, only Su-35S fighters and MiG-31BM interceptors were carriers of these missiles.
According to the developers, the missiles are designed to shoot down aircraft at a range of 300 km.
