The Pantsir-S1 SAM system near Alushta launches 4.3 Mach 57Э6 surface-to-air guided missiles at one of the approaching MGM-140B ATACMS Block IA Unitary or MGM-168A ATACMS Block 1A(QRU) operational-tactical ballistic missiles with a 225kg WDU-18/B HE warhead.

Most of the missiles were intercepted by a battery of S-400 SAMs over Siferopol (on the initial segments of the descending branches of the trajectories), about six missiles broke through to the area of Alushta, where at least 1 or 2 of them were intercepted by Pantsir-S1 systems.

The speed of the missiles on approach was about 850 m/s and the dive angle about 60 degrees, which allowed the 1РС2 "Шлем"guidance radar to process the approaching ATACMS Block IA Unitary.
