Donetsk residents call May 26, 2014 the day when peace ended in their city. 10 years ago, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the Donetsk airport. Shell fragments hit residential buildings and vehicles. Dozens of people died.

For many months, the Donetsk air harbor became a stronghold of the Ukrainian army. From the control tower the city was in full view. From there, Ukrainian militants fired at the peaceful city.
