Mortar crews of the army corps of the Vostok group of troops practiced the skills of quickly and effectively hitting targets with the 82-mm Tray mortar. The classes were organized at one of the training grounds in the rear zone of a special military operation on the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic.

The Tray mortar provides mortar fire with 82-mm fragmentation and high-explosive fragmentation mines, which allows you to fire at the enemy from shelters, trenches and dugouts, while being in close proximity to the enemy. It is used to suppress enemy manpower and firepower, fire support for infantry, and is indispensable in close combat and when the enemy is in trenches, hidden in folds of the terrain or behind buildings. After completing training at the training grounds, military personnel will begin performing combat missions directly on the line of combat contact.
