‘Hands off our youth!’: Hungarian FM Szijjártó slams conscription plans

The foreign minister urged his European counterparts to stop plans for compulsory military service that would inevitably lead to them being sent to the Ukrainian frontlines.

“We don’t want young Hungarian people to be taken to Ukraine because of the war, because it’s not our war,” he argued. “We have nothing to do with the war.”
