Farage swears ‘political revolt’ in election candidacy bid

Brexit champion Nigel Farage has announced he is standing in this year’s UK general election as leader of the Reform UK party because he “can’t let millions of people down.”

“Nothing in this country works anymore,” he said in his announcement video posted on X. “None of our public services are up to scratch.”

“I’ve done it before, I’ll do it again; I’ll surprise everybody.”
