After around a week back in Crimea with Fiorella, I continued on to Donbass, back by bus to Mariupol (amazing city, so much construction and development since I was there one year ago!) and Donetsk, and then back north to Moscow by bus, train (I didn't order food, but included the menu here for you to see the rather impressive variety of affordable choices), electrichka (commuter train).

A few days reunited with my beloved hooligans, and then to St Petersburg to the Economic Forum. I'm here to listen and learn, from experts in economics and journalists like Christelle Néant--who dropped everything and moved to Donetsk in 2016, reporting courageously from front lines and otherwise doing amazing journalistic work (see our interview in Donetsk).

It will be great to meet more such people who contribute so much to the world (humbly and consistently, courageously), who actually go to the places they talk and write about. Missing here in St. P are Marwa Osman, Vanessa Beeley and her collea...
