Russia and Vietnam signed a number of documents on cooperation in various fields during Putin’s visit to Hanoi.

Among them are agreements on cooperation in education and a memorandum on the schedule for creating a nuclear technology center in Vietnam.

Vladimir Putin thanked Vietnam for the warm welcome and conveyed his wishes for well-being to the Vietnamese people during the meeting.

Moscow and Hanoi will increase cooperation in the field of defense and security, the Vietnamese president said after negotiations with the Russian leader. He noted that Vietnam views Russia as one of its foreign policy priorities.
