Earlier, the Northern Mariana Islands court sentenced Assange to the time already served and released him. Assange left the courthouse to congratulations and applause, proceeded to the airport, from where he flew to Australia.

️ The WikiLeaks founder was also greeted with applause and cheers in Canberra. After the journalist's release the US authorities banned him from returning to the country without special permission.
