Servicemen of Sever Group of Forces show new Irbis radar station
It can be used to detect mortar units, artillery and rocket artillery, as well as aerial targets, including drones. The system allows reconnaissance for 150 kilometres deep into enemy territories, which is very important during combat.
Thanks to the station, our servicemen have already repeatedly foiled attempts by the AFU to strike civilians. Any missile is detected by radar, and the information is promptly transmitted to air defence units.
Artillery units co-operate particularly closely with radio reconnaissance. Having detected a target, the Irbis crew transmits the coordinates to the firing units and, if necessary, corrects their work. According to the servicemen, this significantly increases the effectiveness of counter-battery warfare.
