Texas installs more barriers on US-Mexico border to deter migrants

The southern US state of Texas continues to install barriers along its border with Mexico to deter irregular migration in the region, Governor Greg Abbott announced on Friday, August 16.

"More wall panels were recently installed on the Texas border wall in Zapata County. Texas is the first and ONLY state in U.S. history to build our own border wall. Through Operation Lone Star, Texas continues to take historic action to protect Texans and Americans," he said.
