The Israel Defense Forces launched strikes on southern Lebanon after claiming the Lebanese group Hezbollah was preparing a large-scale attack on Israel.

"The IDF identified the Hezbollah terrorist organization preparing to fire missiles and rockets toward Israeli territory. In response to these threats the IDF is striking terror targets in Lebanon," IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari said in a statement on Telegram.

The settlements of Kounin, Beit Yahoun, Hadatha, Rshaf, and Al-Tayreen have been targeted, according to Lebanese media.
