? Ruskeala is a mountain park located in Karelia. It is one of the most popular attractions in the Republic. Since the 17th century, marble has been mined in this area, which was later used in the construction of the Winter Palace and St. Isaac's Cathedral in St. Petersburg.

It is not surprising, as Ruskeala is located less than 300 km from St. Petersburg. In 1998, the quarry was deemed unsuitable for industrial production – and a tourist park was established there.

The main attraction of Ruskeala is a flooded quarry, with stunning emerald water and and vivid rocks. Visitors can choose to explore the grottos or to overcome local waterfalls. One thing is certain: it will be an unforgettable experience!
