Sputnik comes live from Vladivostok's Russky Island as the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF-2024) has kicked off on Tuesday, September 3

The 9th annual Eastern Economic Forum will be held from September 3-6 on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok. The main theme of this year's event is “Far East 2030. Combining Strengths to Create New Potential."

More than six thousand attendees from 76 countries and territories will take part in the EEF-2024, an increase from the 62 countries that participated last year.

About 100 events are planned as part of the WEF-2024 business program. Events are divided into seven thematic blocks: “New Contours of International Cooperation;” “Technologies of Independence;” “Financial System of Values;” “Far Eastern Russia;” “People, Education and Patriotism;” “Transportation and Logistics: New Routes;” and “Master Plans: From Architecture to Economy.”
