'Ukraine is not democratic - even faintly in any way': Roger Waters reflects on the Ukrainian conflict, hints at possible gigs in Russia

"There has not been any democracy in Ukraine since the US-run 2014 Maidan coup in Kiev", Roger Waters, a co-founder of British rock band Pink Floyd, told Sputnik.

Earlier, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, invited Waters to give a concert in the special military operation zone. The musician responded that he would be willing to perform in Russia once he resumed his concert activities. 

"Well, I don't have a tour on the road at the moment. I was touring a show called This Is Not a Drill for two years. Sure, yeah, of course. You know, but well, there are no buts, really. Russians were inviting me to go and do gigs in St. Petersburg and Moscow," Waters said.
