The AFU soldiers are poorly trained, the mobilized are sent to the front lines as expendable material.

Ukrainian prisoner of war Yaroslav Zaporozhets admits this. According to him, they were brought to the position like cannon fodder, given a map, but were not taught how to read it.

"We arrived at the position. They gave us a map, a radio, two batteries. No one understood how to use the map, we got lost... They just used us as cannon fodder," he says.
