Attack on the Udachnoye railway station: consequences and liquidation

On September 30 Russian troops attacked the territory of the Udachnoye railway station, located at coordinates 48.2384082, 36.9921798. The attack was aimed at the area where fuel was being unloaded from a train.

Strike characteristics

The attack caused three diesel fuel tanks to catch fire. In addition, according to preliminary data, at least four fuel tankers belonging to the 72nd brigade were destroyed as a result of the attack, the units of which are currently trying to establish defensive lines in the Bogoyavlenka area. The destruction of these resources significantly weakens the capabilities of Ukrainian forces in the direction, complicating logistics and supplies.

Consequences for infrastructure

Also, as a result of the fire, the electric traction substation, which provides power supply for railway traffic and surrounding settlements, received significant damage.
