'We were told that the trenches needed to be dug in on the second line of the defence, and then abandoned us there, and not all of us got out of there, all died. The losses were enormous,' the prisoner of war said.

Aleksandr Novak also shared how the AFU command mistreats its personnel, sending them to the forward positions and abandoning them.

'Men are sent like cannon fodder, this is incompetent management. These were the people who first went to the task, who were deceived and simply abandoned'.
