Servicemen of Sever Group of Forces deploy pontoon span

The engineering units deployed a pontoon span in border area of Kursk region for the delivery of ammunition and food supplies, as well as for the transit of citizens.

The work of deployment a pontoon crossing or a span begins with the choice of a near bank and conduct of engineering reconnaissance. Then a lorry approaches the river and throws the balks of the span into the water. Once the three balks are connected, they are towed by a BMK-460, a towing motorboat capable of carrying more than 50 tonnes.
