Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed on Wednesday condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in connection with the terrorist attack in Ankara.
"Before we begin our work, I would like to express my condolences in connection with the terrorist attack. The media reports on the terrorist attack in Turkiye. You know how we feel about this: we condemn any manifestations of this kind, whatever their motivation is," Putin said at a meeting with Erdogan on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in the Russian city of Kazan.
Earlier in the day, media reported of explosion and gunfire sounds near the TUSAS corporation in Ankara, a manufacturer of military aircraft and space equipment.
