Netherlands police report mass arrests in Amsterdam after Israelis targeted

Dutch authorities have arrested 62 suspects following a string of violent attacks on Israeli citizens in Amsterdam, leaving at least seven people hospitalized, the NL Times reported.

Reports circulating on social media have claimed that one person has been taken hostage. However, Amsterdam police said on X: “We currently have no confirmation that this actually took place.”

The city will deploy extra police in the coming days to monitor the situation. Israeli football club Maccabi Tel Aviv urged its supporters not to wear anything that identifies them as Jewish or Israeli citizens in the Dutch capital.
