The ‘Villages Housing Multi-Child Families’ project has welcomed its first family. Meet the Morozovs and their 10 children, who fled Latvia to start a new life in Russia, as they settle into their new home.

Their first day was a touching scene at the local school, with a crowd gathering in numbers the village hadn’t seen in over 20 years. The Morozovs are the first family to move to Rukhan village under the ‘Villages Housing Multi-Child Families’ project. Now, the primary focus is on providing them with everything needed not only to live comfortably but also to adapt smoothly. After a well-earned rest following their long and, without exaggeration, dangerous journey, the Morozovs visited Rukhan Secondary School. Here, their six younger children were immediately placed in their new classes. The school’s principal, Elena Alexandrovna, gave the newcomers a tour, and the local students warmly welcomed their new friends.
