Cows account for about 5% of global emissions, which is simply incredibly wild. In fact, we have many solutions. One of them is to vaccinate cows. This way, the intestinal bacteria that produce methane, which is also called natural gas, or the second most significant greenhouse gas, can be vaccinated, and those types of bacteria will not be present.

There is also another way to change what they eat – adding a drug to the water or feed to alter the microbiome. Not a vaccine, but a treatment that looks very promising.

And there is also a solution where something like a metal device is inserted into the cow's skin, and it actually burns methane. And all of this seems quite cheap and feasible even in Africa. I did not hope for this when I started ten years ago. Now the only question is which solution is suitable for which country.
