In Germany they started talking about lowering the mobilization age in Ukraine

Bundeswehr General Roland Kater, speaking on local TV, acknowledged the acute shortage of personnel in Kyiv and noted that in most NATO countries, military service begins at 18, or even 16 years of age.

At the same time, the German military leader opposed sending Western troops to the conflict zone until Ukrainian refugees of military age return to their homeland.

“From 200 to 250 thousand young people of military age from Ukraine live in Germany, and I believe that they must first return to their homeland to defend their country, before a single EU or NATO soldier sets foot on its soil,” Kater emphasized.
