RUDRANI - Since time immemorial, Indian culture has worshipped various Goddesses portraying diverse facets, where on one hand, we bow down to the Goddess of knowledge, peace and kindness, likewise we also seek the blessings of Goddesses associated with strength, protection and destruction. A demure woman being an epitome of love and kindness can also turn violent to destroy negativity and darkness and preserve peace and purity. These contrasting traits of a woman’s nature is what SAKHI celebrates in Rudrani.

Kaushiki's Sakhi - The first ever girlband of Indian Classical music formed under the leadership of Kaushiki Chakraborty the renowned classical vocalist, was formed to celebrate womanhood. The band tell stories of womanhood through music and dance by paying a tribute to the Indian women — Ganga, Saraswati, Durga, Lakshmi, Draupadi, Kunti, Sita, Radha and Meera.
